SAN DIEGO SCCA RALLYCROSS

Event Description: We are having our first RallyCross event in San Diego! Never rallied before? No problem – come down and rally with us! RallyCross takes place on a dirt course marked by orange safety cones. It’s similar to AutoCross, but on grass. Read more here on SCCA.com.
Given that this is our first event, we are limiting attendees to a total of 60 people, and it will be a work/run event, meaning that you may run in the morning and volunteer in the afternoon (and vice versa).
This event will be run in a practice format with timed runs, with the goal of 6 runs for each car within their class and then we'll open the course for "fun runs"!

San Diego SCCA welcomes new participants to the sport! Everyone shares in the work as well as the fun. It is important that you show up to work on time and complete your work assignment.

VEHICLE AND PARTICIPANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Vehicles must pass safety inspection, closed toe shoes. No gas cans or fueling in grid.
All participants (drivers or passengers) must wear an approved helmet while on course, please find the helmet details on this page:

Consumption of INTOXICANTS by participants & spectators is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
No Drones: SCCA does not permit personal drones at its events.
NOISE RESTRICTIONS:
A maximum limit of 100 dBA @ 50' will be enforced for all participants.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
All drivers are required to work during their assigned work group.
CLASSING YOUR CAR
You must identify the class your car will be competing in for the Champ day event. Classes are based off your car and its modifications. More info here https://www.scca.com/pages/what-is-rallycross
CAR NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL DAYS
Numbers must be a minimum or 8” high.
Numbers must be a color that contrasts with your vehicle.
CLASS LETTERS ARE REQUIRED ONLY ON RACE / OPTIONAL ON PRACTICE DAYS
Class letters must be a minimum of 4” high.
Letters must be a color that contrasts with your vehicle.
PASSENGERS
We encourage sharing in the fun so passengers are allowed provided they meet the following requirements:
1. Are no younger than twelve (12) years old or is at least 57” tall. A digital SCCA Minor Waiver must be provided for each minor (person under the age of 18), this can only be completed before the event. Email info@sdrscca.com asap for more information
2. Is in a vehicle which has passed safety (tech) inspection with a properly fitted helmet conforming to the above restrictions;
3. Have completed and signed the required participant waiver(s), including parents/guardians as appropriate (Section 4.13)..SCCA® National Solo® Rules — 25 1. Solo Events
4. Is wearing a properly fitted seat belt.
SCCA MEMBERSHIP ISSUES
If you have a valid SCCA membership but the system indicates it is not valid, be sure your name in this system is exactly as it is on your SCCA card.
MINORS
A digital SCCA Minor Waiver must be provided for each minor (person under the age of 18), this can only be completed before the event and signed by all legal guardians of the minor.
